May Game Developers Meetup
Tue, 27/04/2010 - 19:21
The Auckland Game Development Meetup
Please bring $5 for pizza and drinks. Updated Agenda: 6.00 Arrive 6.15 Showcase: Gaming projects and news happening locally. Rapid-fire Lessons from My Favourite Games. Something a bit different this month! Several meetup members will show off one of their favourite games, why it rocks and what we can learn from it. Here's the catch: they only have 10 slides and can only show each slide for 20 seconds (that's just over 3 minutes each). Plus, the first audience member to identify the game from the opening screenshot wins a prize! We're still looking for a few more presenters - if you'd like to present email sknightly@gmail.com to say which game you'd like to talk about. Publishing your game on PC World's coverdisk We have an opportunity to include some freeware and shareware games on the coverdisk of PC World magazine. Do you have a game worthy of being 'published'? Playing with an iPad We'll have an iPad or two for people to look at, touch and play some games on. 6.45 Desperately Seeking: Announcements about people looking for collaborators, advice or resources. 7.00 Pizza, networking, group discussions Please let Stephen know if you'd like to showcase your work, or if you are seeking something so we can help you out. The street-level doors lock about 6.15-6.30. If you are locked out, call Stephen on 0274 438 125.
